This is the propagator set up i have been using for a number of years now. The original propagator was manufactured by Ward.
The white plumbing fixtures contain the LED lights and wiring which is used to provide light to germinate seeds such as Begonias and Lobelia and to also help develop small seedlings during thinning out.
The LED lights provide much needed light during December, January and February when natural light levels can be low and the days short.
The silver insulation bubble foil was added to reflect as much light as possible onto the seedlings in the propagator. It also helps retain the heat inside the propagator further reducing power consumption.
The propagator currently contains 1 x 170 and 1 x 110 cell plug plant trays containing Begonia Tom Foolery seedlings. These will remain here for up to a week until they have established themselves after transplanting then will be moved to another naturally lit propagator.
The other trays contain Verbena and Begonia Destiny(Tuberous) seeds which both require light to germinate, and Geranium seeds
