Testing showed the high voltage fuse had blown. Replaced this and the microwave was back to normal operation. In all it took less than a couple of hours to repair including ordering the parts on-line.

A friends microwave oven stopped working even although it was only 5 years old. Decided to spent a little time and see if it could be fixed. The microwave stopped working. It went through the motions of running the turn table, running the fan but did not heat anything! Testing showed the high voltage fuse had blown. Replaced this and the microwave was back to normal operation. In all it took less than a couple of hours to repair including ordering the parts on-line. For more details click here

Thanks for pointing out that a test can tell if a fuse has blown in a microwave oven. I think that is the issue in the appliance of my grandmother, since she told me what happened over the phone earlier. Hopefully, she can hire a good over repair service tomorrow, because she use that appliance a lot these days.
